Salle Auriol Seattle wrapped up our 3rd annual Seattle International Veteran's cup this weekend. You can view the full results of the event on askFred here.
On Saturday, we started off with the women's foil event. Ana Brainard from Rain City Fencing Center in Bellevue, WA was the overall champion. She defeated Salle Auriol Seattle fencer Monica Exum in the finals.
In men's sabre, Mark Lundborg from Washington Fencing Academy was the overall champion. He bested Jason Heck from Points West Fencing Center in Venutra, CA in the gold medal bout.
In the men's epee, Erich Cranor from Northwest Fencing Center in Beaverton, OR was our overall champion.
On Sunday, we kicked the day off with men's foil in the morning. Jamie Douraghy from the Los Angeles International Fencing Center in Los Angeles, California was the overall champion.
In the women's epee, we had a gold medal match between SAS fencer Monica Exum and NWFC fencer Maria Copelan for the third consecutive year. Monica won the first year, while Maria won the second. This year, Monica came out on top for her second podium appearance of the weekend.
Finally, we had the women's sabre event. Salle Auriol Seattle fencer Robin King successfully defended her title as the overall champion.
