SAS has reopened for limited in person activities. Many rules and protocols are similar to when we were open in November although we will have to reduce some class sizes to comply with the adjusted capacity guidelines. If you are interested in attending the club in person and you haven’t already arrange to do so please contact us.
- Small group classes are one hour long, once a week and limited to 6 students. Participants will remain stable from week to week. Limited in-distance partner drills and bouting are allowed.
- Fencing pods for fencers over 21 are limited to 5 people, one hour long, once a week. Participants will remain stable every week. Contact us if you need help arranging a pod.
- Private lessons are available and in distance coaching is allowed if both the coach and student agree.
- The virtual class schedule will largely remain the same. Everyone is encouraged to continue with the virtual classes either in addition to or in lieu of attending in person.
A few reminders about rules and protocols:
-Stay home if you are not feeling well, if you have any symptoms or have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
-If you have traveled out of state you must follow all quarantine guidance before returning to the club.
-A mask covering nose and mouth is required at all times. Fencers must be able to put on their fencing mask without disturbing their face mask.
-Arrive and leave in your workout attire/knickers to avoid using changing rooms.
-All participants must have a current USA Fencing membership.
